Hug for the Holidays

I used to be a character at D-land during college. And my job was to shake hands, pose in pictures, sign autographs and hug people. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people. And it felt good - I felt good. Even with an inch of fur or more between us - it felt good to hug people. Old people, young people, male, female didn't matter. What went back and forth between us? Was it all in our heads? My neck would be sore and my back would ache but after working a day my body would be singing.
